HOPE VIEW The Flying Dutchmen are tops in the MIAA shooting 48.1 percent from the field and scoring 77.3 points per game. They are averaging as many assists per game as turnovers. Only guard Colton Overway (West Ottawa) and guard Billy Seiler are averaging 31 and 24.3 minutes per league game, respectively. They are the only ones all season to be higher than 20. Forward Nate Snuggerud is coming off a 13-point game off the bench where he played 20 minutes to the six he saw the game earlier against Adrian. Hope coach Matt Neil said how the game went against Adrian dictated how much he played.
OPPOSING VIEW The Hornets are coming off a 79-53 loss to Calvin at home on Wednesday. Guard Mark Ghafari led Kalamazoo with 18 points ? the second consecutive time and 11th time this season he has topped the Hornets in scoring. Ghafari sits fifth in the MIAA in scoring during league games at 18 points. No one else from the Hornets is averaging in double figures. Kalamazoo ranks next-to-last in the MIAA games shooting 41.4 percent from the field but is second in team defense behind Calvin as opponents are hitting only 42.1 percent.
