Apple has begun selling its iPad mini with Wi-Fi + Cellular at three of the nation's largest carriers. Having already sold millions of the Wi-Fi only model, today's sale introduces the iPad mini to customers who want to purchase the tablet with a data plan.
Prices for the iPad mini vary according to carrier. Verizon and Sprint charge $459 (16GB), $559 (32GB), and $659 (64GB) on a month-to-month contract. AT&T charges $359 (16GB), $459 (32GB), and $559 (64GB) when purchased on a two-year agreement. The three carriers offer data plans with different caps and rates, but all support 4G LTE.
The iPad mini features a 7.9-inch LED display, a dual-core A5 processor, and up to 10 hours of battery life. Other features for the tablet include:
